JHSC and Worker Representative Training and Assistance: Your Worker Representative or Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) members cannot be truly effective without an itemized Terms of Reference to help establish a safety culture in you business or organization. They need to know what the law requires them to do, what you want them to do, how they're to do what has to be done, and how and to whom they should report their findings. Respirator Fit Testing The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Standard CSA-Z94.4-02-Selection, Use and Care of Respirators requires workers who use disposable 'N-95' type or half-face or full-face respirators, be properly fit tested at a minimum of every two years or when there is a change in the respirator face piece (i.e., model, make, size) or when changes to the user's physical condition could affect the respirator fit (i.e., new dentures, weight gain or loss).
